1. Are your doctors approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act (1983)?
   Yes they both assess people under the Mental Health Act on a regular basis.
2. Do your doctors have medical indemnity insurance?
   Yes, with the Medical Protection Society.
3. Are your doctors approved to undertake Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard assessments?
   Yes,both have undertaken DOLS training and are approved to undertake this work.
4. Is the turnaround time of 7 working days guaranteed?
   Yes.
5. Is the standard rate of £295 applicable in all cases?
   Yes, on almost all occasions. More difficult work, perhaps involving complex issues around Personal Welfare LPAs may attract a higher fee, but this would be unusual, and would follow a consultation.
6. Is travel time and mileage charged separately?
   No. The price is all inclusive.
7. Will the client be seen in their own home or in your office?
   Either - whichever the client prefers.
8. Where do you cover?
   Merseyside, West Lancashire and South Ribble.
9. Is a Certificate Providers Statement included in the price of £295?
   Yes, if required.
10. Do you provide Medical / Psychiatric Reports for other reasons, say in Personal Injury cases?
    No. Our work only relates to the Mental Health Act 2005, and issues around capacity.
11. Do you prefer to receive instruction by post or email?
    Whichever you prefer.
12. Do you charge VAT?
    No
