Dr J Rigby graduated from Leeds University Medical School in 1977, trained in West Yorkshire and Bristol, and has been a Consultant Psychiatrist in Southport since 1989 and a past Medical Director and Clinical Director of local health services.  He specialises in the Elderly and has published work on the Mental Health Act 1983, Advance Statements in Psychiatry and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Dr N Leonard   graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1985, trained in Merseyside and New Zealand, and has been a GP in Southport since 1993. He has an interest in the physical and psychological aspects of ageing – reflecting the needs of his practice population.  He is approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
